Rita Marker, Executive Director of the Patients Rights Council, will be here on Monday, October 19, at 5:00 PM in the Social Room to discuss living wills, advance directives and protection against care being withheld.
According to the Patients Rights Council,
Every person from the age of 18 and older should have a well-written, durable power of attorney for health care in which they have named an individual they know and trust, who agrees with their views and values, and who can be assertive on their behalf.
Rita Marker is an attorney, former professor, speaker and the author of the critically-acclaimed book, Deadly Compassion.
