Early Childhood Music Classes
Music in Motion (Preschool age and Family-style)
This music class introduces young children and their families to the joy of music by weaving together the foundational elements of being tuneful, “beatful,” and artful with curriculum helping children grow both musically and spiritually.
- Tuneful: Children learn to match pitch and sing simple melodies through worship songs, hymns, and Bible-based music, discovering how their voices can glorify God.
- “Beatful”: Through clapping, stomping, and instrument play, children explore steady beat and rhythm, learning how music reflects the order and beauty of God’s creation.
- Artful: By engaging in expressive movement, creative play, and storytelling through song, children develop a sense of wonder and joy in making music that reflects the artistry of their Creator.
This engaging, hands-on class incorporates songs of praise, circle games with spiritual themes, and instrument activities to foster a love for music and worship. It emphasizes that music is a gift from God and a powerful way to connect with Him, equipping children to grow as worshippers who express their faith joyfully and skillfully through music.
Class Options:
- Preschool/Kindergarten | For ages 4 - 6 and is a drop-off / pick-up class.
- Family Music | For children and their parents, age birth through age 6. There is something for everyone to enjoy! (older children in the family may attend with the permission of the Instructor)

Young Beginner Group Piano Class
- Schedule | Thursdays, 3:15 - 4:00 pm
Children ages 4, 5, and 6 are introduced to the keyboard in this fun class! As they learn the basics of piano playing, rhythm, and melody, this hands-on and quickly-paced class will engage students in rhythm and melody games and familiarize them with the piano. The child must have a full-size keyboard or piano at home in order to take this class. Class size limited to five students.
Song Sprouts
Join us for a joyful and engaging Parent-Toddler Music Class! Begin your morning with matins—a time of worship and reflection—then dive into a fun-filled session of singing, movement, and instrument play. This class is designed to nurture your child’s natural love of music while strengthening the bond between you. Together, we’ll explore simple songs, lively circle games, moving to the beat, and hands-on instrument activities. Connect with other families in a warm, faith-centered environment as we celebrate the joy of music, play, and community. Perfect for toddlers and their caregivers.

Elementary and Older Classes
Group Piano Class

Schedule | Tuesdays, 3:15 - 4:00 pm
Ideal for students not quite ready to take private piano lessons, this is a group class for beginner students ages 6 through 12, seeking to learn the basics of keyboard music, general music reading and proper technique. The child must have a full-size keyboard or piano at home in order to take this class. Class size limited to five students.

This class runs for 13 weeks from January 27/28 through May 5/6, 2025.
Creative Dramatics
- Schedule | Wednesdays, 3:15 - 4:15 pm
This class, for ages 6 - 12, is for kids who love the stage! Learn the basics of acting and singing for theater in a group setting. Students will practice stage presentation, proper vocal technique and work together on scenes from age appropriate theater and musicals. The class will present a short vignette at the Academy Recital on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
This class runs for 13 weeks from January 27 / 29 through May 5 / 7, 2025
Group Percussion class
- Schedule | Thursdays, 3:15 - 3:45 pm
In this beginner class, students in grade 4 and up will learn the basics of rhythm and percussion, focusing on stick control, basic technique, and an introduction to the percussion family. Students will present a STOMP-style performance at the Academy Recital in May. Students will need to purchase a few materials and bring them to class. A link to purchase items will be provided upon registration. If your child is interested but younger than the required age, please contact the Director for special consideration.

Bel Canto Singers
- This class is tailored for young singers ages 11 to 18 to build a strong foundation in vocal technique and musicianship. By developing essential vocal skills and promoting music literacy through reaching musical notation, students apply that knowledge to part-singing in vocal repertoire of a variety of styles. The class will present one or more pieces at the Academy Recital. Students interested in joining the Bel Canto Singers must sing for the Director prior to registration.
