Children belong in worship, and they can be taught to love it.
Four Sundays in June 2026 on children, worship, and Christian formation. Some might think four weeks is too long; others that it is too short. But all of us agree that raising children in the faith is a duty, so some time and attention should be given to it, and in most churches none is. Parents are left to work it out alone, usually by sending the children somewhere else during the service.
We do the opposite. Children belong in the pew, from the beginning, because worship is where God meets his people and children are his people too. The series makes that case from Mark 10, shows how to train a child for worship the way you would train him for anything else, takes up discipline and affection together from Hebrews 12, and ends on the inheritance a Christian parent leaves.
Each sermon has its recording, a written summary, and questions for parents to talk over. The Raising Worshippers guide below is the practical companion: four pages on what to do before, during, and after the service, with a child of any age.
