Mars, Inc. Halloween Woke Virtue Signaling

Mars, Inc is an international food and nutrition company, among it's divisions is Wrigley, which is responsible for their candy line. One of their products is Twix, the subject of a controversial TV commercial. The commercial is not about eating Twix candy at all. Instead they are soliciting our attention to announce that they (Mars, Inc.) are a "woke" corporation and embrace transgender ideology, just because they can. Among the messages that this commercial conveys, in a not so subtle way, is that you better get on board with us or you will be destroyed. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness that should not be normalized by our society at large nor made into commercials meant to shame children into accepting this.  If I were a stakeholder in this company I would ask their Corporate Board if this was a wise use of company funds and how much income we would expect from airing this commercial? The answers should be no and zero respectively.

A Super Bowl Halftime Alternative

I came across an article and video by John Piper on a Super Bowl halftime alternative from 2017. Curious, I clicked on it, read the article and watched the video. This year's halftime show is the jiggling, gyrating, J-Lo. Fortunately I have to miss the half time "extravaganza" as I will be working. Unfortunately, you could be exposed to this. "Danger Will Robinson! Danger!" If you are inclined to do so, click on the link or go make a sandwich, run around the block for 30 minutes, make a pizza run, etc. Just be back for the kick off! If you choose not to make John Piper your halftime alternative ,listen another time, it's very good.
